We are configured to use GLNs with the EDI transaction records with supply vendor Owens & Minor. For one of our hospital campuses, we have three locations that
get mapped to the same GLN value in the 850's N1ST04 element. Each location is assigned a unique account number.
Owens & Minor has requested that we implement the use of SDQ segments in the 850 transaction records to allow them to identify how to palletize the orders for
delivery to the correct locations at this campus.
Two of the locations at this particular campus are stock rooms. The primary stock room is configured as an inventory location, while the secondary stock room is not. Currently, in our ED40(EDSUBTBL) records, both stock rooms are identified with the same SHIPTO identifier. Different Purchase From values are used to differentiate the two locations.
In testing the setup for using the SDQ segments, both locations are identified using the common SHIPTO value, so all orders would end up going to the primary
stock room location.
After making modifications in our TEST environment to change the SHIPTO values for each stock room to be unique, we retested generating the 850 transaction record for the secondary stock room. The SDQ segments were generated, but the N1ST segment was no longer being listed.
Any recommendations on what modifications need to be made to our setup in order to have each stock room uniquely identified to support the use of the SDQ segments in the EDI 850 transaction records?
