We have been notified that we need to start charging employer state unemployment taxes on a particular stipend we pay to a handful of our employees. We are drawing a blank on how to set this up.
Any help is much appreciated.
HI FUSD, what about creating a pay class that includes all the unemployment-eligible pays (including the stipend pay code), and then assigning the pay class to the deduction you are using for this tax on PR05? Would that work?
I guess I'm not understanding how the system determines how to tax particular pays. I will try this and see how it works.
