Can we Merge two similiar BODS in a Document flow

Hi All,

I have a requirement, where I need to merge or concatenate two different BODS.

For Example:

I have two Service Orders and I am publishing the Service Transactional data through Publish BOD session. So there would be n no. of BODs would generate for n no. of Service Orders. So I need to merge them to a single file and map to the required BOD format.

Soumya - They recently added MT Versioning to the About ION page in ION Desk. You most likely have Infor OS Essentials, which does not contain the Merge feature.

Infor added new Scripting capabilities, where you can pass it multiple input values, so there is the possibility of Merging documents with Scripting. This is available in Essentials.

Hello Soumya - The below script should work for the example BOD below the script.

import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET

root1 = ET.fromstring(input_var_1)

root2 = ET.fromstring(input_var_2)

second_node = root2.find('.//DataArea/ServiceOrder')

for element1 in root1.findall('.//DataArea'):

element1.append(second_node)

output_var_1 = ET.tostring( root1)

Yes I went through the document when I got to know about merge option in Data Flow. But I am unable to find that option there. I got only these as below

In the documentation for MT, there is a license level consideration.

With merge you can combine two documents together into one output document. The Merge activity in Data flow is available only for environments that are licensed with a Professional or Enterprise license.

Prior to merge we used a DB connector Stored Procedure to do the merge.
