ION using IDM for emails

Hi All,

Is it possible to use IDM in sending email with formatted content or attachment?

Is there any Infor document on this or any other reference link which might have information on it.

Hi Ken,

Try to have a look at the API documentation for IDM (from ION API or IDM Control center). There is an API transaction for sending emails (/Email) that works really well. The documentation is more or less self explanatory if you know IDM and other IDM API's. I have been using it a lot in combination with ION Workflows.

Is there a way to customize it specifically for ION only?

Hi Ken,

You can customize the email template yes. You upluad the customized version to IDM and specify a xQuery to it in the IDM Control center.

I have not been able to dynamically refference different mail templates , so I have built one common. If you find out if/how it is possible to dynamically choose between different templates, then I am all ears.
