Most likely the json path you have specified does not exist in the response json. As you have not marked the output as "Optional" the activity will result in an error if the path does not exist.



For troubleshooting you can take the following steps:

1: Set the output as optional and test again. If the API still returns an error (if so, then the issue is more technical "backend" or security associated). If you no longer get an error proceed with the following.

2: Open the ION API application and test the API transaction there with the same input to get the response json.

3: Copy the json body to a jsonpath evaluator and test the path you specified in the ION API activity in your workflow. I normally use the following page for testing json paths: https://jsonpath.com/
