Is there a way to delete/deactivate an active approval matrix from business rules?

Hello,

The Business Rules feature is extremely valuable, but you are correct there is currently no way to deactivate/delete one once created. Development is actively working on this feature. No promises, but it should be available very soon.

Hi, DS. My apologies for not having been able to chime in any sooner to your question. If this is still an open issue for you, or for others that might be wondering, here's what the current release of Infor's ION Desk User Guide (doc #47747) has to say about matrices:

Lifecycle of a matrix

A matrix Editor can create and edit a new matrix.

After the matrix is submitted for approval, the matrix cannot be edited anymore.

A user with an Approver role can approve or reject a matrix definition.

If a matrix is approved, a new version of this matrix becomes active. Each time a matrix is approved,

its version number is increased.

If a matrix is rejected, the original version becomes editable again and after it is corrected, it must be

submitted for approval.

I personally have worked very little with the Business Rules and don't recall much of that work off-hand.

There's also a KB from 2018: KB 2029673 How to inactivate business rule? The KB echoes what the user guide states as well.

I don't see any enhancement requests related to Business Rules either... there are a few threads out here on the community if you wanted to peruse those for other thoughts/ideas related to Business Rules. Not sure that they specifically help. They might however help you choose a direction to take with the issue at hand.

Thank you Stephanie, [mention:a7e08f34f5af434fa54f61ae50b1747c:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] I'm not sure I understand the intent behind creating the feature called Business rules. We are unable to add any parameters or delete or deactivate it with Active BR. I have already logged an enhancement regarding this. We have close to 110 division in M3 and we need to setup rules for all these divisions.
