M3 Table change trigger of Workflow via ProcessWorkflow BOD and application Message CMS047

HI,

I would like to trigger a particular workflow from M3 based on a record being created in an M3 table (MPOPLP) / Purchase requisition. The process I am following is as below however the workflow is not being triggered for some reason. Essentially I would like M3 to trigger my custom workflow via the generic ProcessWorkflow BOD.

- Setup application message in CMS045 and CMS047 specifying table name , event (create) and specific workflow name to trigger.
- Configured CRS424 message type 12 to trigger workflow and entered generic name "ProcessWorkflow".
- Restarted M3 autojobs CMS910 to CMS913
- Restarted all CMAILB Event Analytics Rules

I have added some records and can see that they are appearing in the Event hub rule for the table affected MPOPLP however there is no application event message in CRS420 and no workflow generated. I have looked at ION OneView can see no activity.

If you can help to advise if I am following the right steps or not. Thanks for any assistance.

I'm assuming that CMS045 triggers, emails and workflows are working on other tables.

So please try setting "a wider" trigger formula to see when a trigger will start

Hi,

Do you have M3BODs_PulseBODs enabled in EventAnalytics?

Do you have M3BODProcessor and M3WF apps installed on the Grid?

Hi Jonathan,

Note we are using Cloudsuite M3 so not sure if there are any differences.

PulseBoD's are enabled. Regarding M3BODProcessor it is enabled for the M3 companies I am working in. Regarding M3WF we are able to use workflow OK generally and it is an issue with the trigger from M3.

Oh, OK.

If you have problems with the trigger, please try first to send it by Email, if you get it in the the mail then the trigger is working properly, if you don't, then you can try using the EventHub monitor to see what happens in your MPOPLP trigger (I don't know if you have EH Monitor in CloudSuite).

Thanks for your suggestion. I have setup as below and can see the message in Event hub but not in CRS420 and I get no email either. Maybe there is an application message setup issue but from what I can see things are setup OK.

For On-Premise this apporach we tried and similarly we are unable to process work flow BOD? Any Idea?

Hi, Our issue (on cloud) was the configuration of CRS424 / message type 12 was not set correctly. Should be set as below. Other setup is as described above. Hope this helps.

- BOD enabled - tick
- Bod msg type - Alert (not workflow)
- Workflow name - leave blank

I also have this problem for On-Premise. Is it possible to us the process workflow BOD On-Premise and how is it activated? In CE, it is under administration in M3, but I have no such options On-Premise.The picture below shows how it looks in CE.

Hi,

Yes it is possible to use it on-prem. However you need to make sure that you have the necessary components installed:
* BODProcessor
* Partner agreement + mapping activated for Workflow BOD
* Eventrules activated for workflow BOD
* Connection between M3 Mec and ION

If you have the above installed and configured it should work as in M3 CE.
