Is It possible to call an ION workflow using H5 Scripting

Hi,

I have completed making a custom list in the CRS010 and have also added a "Finish" button to the custom list. After the Finish button is clicked I wan to pass the selected list values as iput parameters and call an ION workflow, I am new to this so just wanted to find out a way if it is possible to call an ION workflow from a button click?

IonApiService helper class can be used to call ION API. (Refer H5ScriptDeveloperGuide for more info)

below is the sample code which I have taken from the guide. which is working fine.

I've got a similar requirement as you, trigger workflow from the H5 script. So I have been used above code with the POST method. but once we executing the script we are receiving error code 415. Even we are passing "application/json" as a content-type it's getting override by "application/x-www-form-unrecoded" type. So still I couldn't achieve this. If I find the solution I'll post here.

do you find a solution for that , as I have also ION workflow needed to be triggered once the user click on a submit for approval button (custom button using H5 script ) ?

We have something like this - API call to start the workflow, note the JSON.stringify() wrapping of the input parms, may have been OP's problem. H5 scripting doco (KB 1909067) should have examples of adding the custom button and attaching the event to it, and even includes a sample H5SampleIonApiService.ts showing how to call ION API.
