Creating a drillback to a 3rd party application / any URL

Hi,

is it possible to create a drillback to a 3rd party application? Has anyone managed to do this yet?

Basically I just want to open a website and pass a few parameters from a workflow task.

For example: https://postman-echo.com/get?parm1=foo&parm2=bar where parm1 and parm2 are dynamically passed from the workflow task.

I managed to create new custom drillbacks to Infor applications like M3... but not for applications with type "Non-Infor-Application" and LogicalID lid//:infor.generic1.1...

The application / view just does not show up in the drillback menu:

Hi Dustin,

unfortunately not. I think we created a parameter with type=hyperlink instead and added it to the workflow task.

I have a call with Infor tomorrow. I'll hopefully get a solution otherwise I'll have to go the hyperlink route as well

Hi, I don't know if this is exactly what you were looking for or if it helps any for this scenario, but I have been able to bring parameters to URL's to google maps.

In this case a google maps search looks like this; https://www.google.com/maps/search/ "+ whatever adress you want to search for"

So I wanted to check if I could add a customer address from a workflow to this URL.

1. I defined a hyperlink-parameter which would be my URL. With an initial value of https://www.google.com/maps/search/

2. I defined a parameter for the customer address which would be from M3. CUA1 (String).

3. Using the Set Parameter funcion and creating an expression for the hyperlink-parameter. Which looked like this [URL]&[CUA1].

So i guess what makes it work with google maps is that the link would always be the same and include a search at the end.

If https://postman-echo.com/get?parm1=foo&parm2=bar will always look like this you could try to define your two parameters as strings, this URL as a hyperlink-parameter without parm1 and parm2.

Then you could try the expression way I did and write an expression like this: [URL}&[Parameter 1]&[Parameter 2].
