Can I know the difference between the task and task chain in ION workflow?

Dear All,

I have a requirement where I am getting all approvers list from LN.

Need to distribute the tasks for the approvers consecutively (Like Approver1 approves then Approver2 then Approver 3 etc..)

Can we handle this with the task chain with business rules? Or need to create a fixed number of tasks and maintain the distribution users?

Please suggest any best practices to achieve this. Thanks.

Yes, you can achieve this with an Approval Matrix, that is available as part of Business rules engine of workflow. No need to create a fixed number of tasks (although that will also work, its not the efficient way and certainly not scalable). If you have an approval chain where progressively a task needs to be approved by the next person in the chain, then using the Approval matrix is the correct way.
