Transition Management - Triggering Emails using Adjusted Start Date?

Hi All!

We have a request to set up a number of ongoing emails to be sent after someone is hired - so an email would go out a week after start, a month after start, 3 months after start, etc.  We don't want to use the Hire/Rehire action because the point in time someone is hired can be significantly variable - some are hired a month prior to their start date and some get hired the day before.  Has anyone used Transition Management to set something like this up?  We are having a hard time finding a way to get these emails to trigger.

My recommendation would be to do this with a User Action in LPL + an email template. You can then schedule the User Action to run nightly by adding it to a menu and choosing 'Schedule'. 

Here is in example where we are sending reminder emails from the EmployeeEnrollment business class using the Enrollment Period End Date compared to the Reminder Dates.

In your case, you would create a User Action in the Employee business class and reference Adjusted Start Date compared to your Reference Dates. 

There might be some slight nuances e.g. the SendEmail action and EmailTemplate field might be called something else in the Employee business class. You might have to take a look at the delivered Employee business class LPL to see what email actions are delivered and the naming convention of the needed fields. 

You could accomplish something similar with IPA, but I prefer to keep things in LPL where possible.
