how to send email after assign to user

Hi

I have experimented with creating a workflow for approving PR and sending confirmation via email. However, I encountered an issue where if the task assignment was not done before approving through email, it would be approved in Infor OS but not in LN. I would like to know if there is a way for the workflow to send an email after task assignment in the Infor OS interface or if there is a way to automatically assign tasks in groups.

I am not sure if the difference that "its approved in Infor OS but not in LN" is due to the task being already assigned or not. Ultimately, closing a task should trigger the same results regardless of the task actioned from email or from ION Inbox. Can you please confirm how is your workflow triggered from LN? Is it through an activation policy or via a Process Workflow BOD? I also know, there is an internal parameter to manage approvals in LN when its controlled via iON workflows. I would check the Workflow trigger mechanism and config in LN. Also, If you are sure that, everything is configured correctly, but the approvals in LN are not consistent - then I would check the ION One view timelines for events when the approvals didn't make it to LN and debug for the reason. It could be another valid business error? 

To answer your question, the email channel to take actions works only if the status of a task is new or unassigned if I am right. if the task is already assigned to one user and if another user tries to take action via email, I think it will result in a failure stating that its assigned to another user. 

As for auto assign, there is an option at the Pulse email settings to auto assign tasks in case there is only one user in the distribution list.
