Hiring Manager Security Role - Seeing candidates in steps they don't have "move to step" action

The Infor delivered Hiring Manager Security role allows:

1. Limiting which step the Hiring Manager can have the "move to step" action

2. Control the workflow steps the Hiring Manager can view

But has anyone worked on a requirement where the Hiring Manager can see the name candidates in the the workflow step without the "move to step action?"

In short, they can see the candidates in the steps, but they can't move them to another step.

If yes, can you show me how to do it?

Yes, we recently implemented something similar for the Hire Step.

We modified/added this code to the TAHiring Manager and TA Direct Supervisor Security Classes for the JobAppliction BusinessClass (bolded sections).

This gives them read only access to the HIRE step (2nd paragraph), but still read/write to all steps where COOManagerCanAccess is true (1st paragraph).
