Hi everyone,
I’m working in Infor Birst and trying to display, for each monthly snapshot, the current month quantity along with the previous months’ quantities (M-1 to M-6).
Here’s my setup:
• [Time.Year/Month] → time key (YYYY/MM). I have a complete Time dimension with all attributes (Month, Month Ago, MonthToDate, etc.).
• [Snapshot Date Sum: Qty] → current month quantity.
• [MAGO Sum: Qty] → measure created through Time Series. This correctly gives me M-1 values.
• Time Series are enabled in my data model.
🔹 Problem
I can only get M-1 working.
When I try to extend to M-2, M-3, M-4, M-5, M-6, all values return null.
I also tried using the Time dimension attributes (Month Ago, etc.) but nothing works.
🔹 What I need
For each month, I want to display:
• Current month quantity
• M-1, M-2, M-3, M-4, M-5, M-6 quantities
🔹 Questions
1. What’s the correct way in Birst to retrieve M-2 to M-6 using Time Series?
2. Is this even possible natively, or should I create one calculated measure per lag?
3. Should I create Admin-side variables or time series configurations (if yes, what type and with what example)?
4. Does anyone have a working BQL example or setup to handle multiple month offsets (M-n)?
I’ve been stuck on this for 2 weeks — found examples only for M-1, nothing beyond that.
Any help or example would be really really appreciated 🙏
