Alert on Time between a new Order

Our current setup has an unreliable 3rd-party application creating a Process.SalesOrder BODs based on orders placed in our new eCommerce platform. If this 3rd-party application goes down for some reason, orders are not making it into SXe and this can be problematic as we want to ensure we release the Web Orders promptly. I'm looking for a solution to create an alert if we haven't received an order for over 45 minutes and I'm unsure of what the best way to go about this would be.

I know the Monitors and Workflows are based off of Sync.SalesOrders, but I'm wondering if there is any way to capture the create date on these documents and start a timer for 45 minutes. If the timer expires after 45 minutes before a new create date is captured, then send an alert to check the 3rd-party application for proper functionality. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is it an alert or a notification needed that there is no web order created? or do you want an automatic action to trigger release of orders?

A combination of the features can make this possible probably without any additional component. We have the oneview API where you can give the filter for document_type eq "Process.SalesOrder" and sender_source_id eq "<logical id> and document_date_time in range <last_executed date time> and current_date_time. Define one ion api connector and call the oneviewapi in the ION suite, with this condition. In the response json, there will be the number_of_records, which is important.

In the document flow, ionapi connection point is the first activity, after that check for the number of records and then either trigger a workflow to send a notification or you can also trigger a message to the SXe application to do something.

This is all conceptual and let me try and work on the flow. Pls check it yourself also.

I couldn't figure out how to do this through ION Desk workflow or monitor, so I went with creating a PowerShell script instead. The PowerShell script looks at the date modified of the Order Acknowledgement files. If there haven't been any new files created within 45 minutes of the time the script has run, it sends an email alert.

It would be an alert/notification when there hasn't been order for about 45 minutes.

Is the Oneview API already configured in the ION API section or is this something I need to configure myself? Also, is there more documentation on working with ION API than what's in the Infor ION API Administration guide?

I was able to use PowerShell to accomplish my needs.
