Test connection failed

Hi,

I tried to create a connection point for Azure and registered an api in the gateway and added swagger in documentation. A connection string was provided by Azure starting with sb. I replaced it with https. now when I am trying to establish a connection point, i get this message

Message: Adapter test connection failed: Application ping failed for Application with url '/ping'. Reason: Ping failed: RequestMediaType/ResponseMediaType as JSON, Reason: Bad Request

Correlation ID: ----------------------------------

Do i need to setup endpoint poicies to handle this? I cant find any guide on endpoint policies.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, was just coming back after reviewing one of my Azure setups and you probably don't need the proxy on Azure's side. You should be able to proxy everything in ION API configuration, which will solve the CORS issue.

I don't think you can just change the protocol but I haven't worked with the service bus APIs.

I'd recommend testing the call with Postman to be sure it works as you're expecting. The error says it's not getting a JSON response which may be because the https:// won't work.

If that's the case you might consider using an Azure Function Proxy to pass through the requests so you can use https://.

its working with https in the postman. but now when i am trying to create a connector using swagger document in azure, it says

"Failed to fetch swagger with error message: Failed to fetch. Ensure you have CORS enabled on the endpoint and are calling a valid HTTPS endpoint."

maybe it has something to do with CORS? and then i have to find out how to make entries in CORS if this is the reason.

Yep that makes sense. I think that's where you'll need the proxy unless CORS configuration has been implemented on service bus recently.

Do you know how you configure CORS? I dont have access to it but my administrator has. he doesnt know where to do it exactly. will be thankful if you can tell me how.

Secondly do you think portal.azure.com should be registered in cors or should it be the link to the service bus? because we are providing the link to the service bus as endpoint in the API gateway.

This is a great start point. markheath.net/.../azure-functions-v2-proxies

You can do this through the portal or just push an empty function app (unless you need functions) with a proxies.json file. Azure functions can attach to a git repo and deploy any changes. So it's often the fastest way, especially if you have a long list of api resources to proxy.

When you set it up the connection point, use the api key option to include the "code" parameter rather than leaving it in the URL.

Thank you for being helpful. But still i am having trouble setting up the stuff. do you know how an empty function app can be pushed. and how do you get the proxies.json file? My concept is not so good with this one.
