[Release Highlights] December 2023 – Infor OS App Designer:

The following describes the new release highlight for users Infor OS App Designer:

• Import/Export of Projects: Provides customers with a way to export and import projects so that they can transport their solutions between tenants. Adds a button to import projects as well as a button to export a selected project.

• Disable Settings When Hidden: If the component is hidden, the other settings are now disabled. If a component has visibility switched off in Page Wizard, the user could still switch on other settings.

• Remove and Rename Columns in Data Grids: This allows for better prioritization of relevant information. Removed ‘Created By’ and ‘Created’ from columns. Instead show that information inside an expandable view. Renamed ‘Last Changed By’ and ‘Last Changed’ to ‘Modified By’ and ‘Last Modified’ for grids.

• Introduce Draggable Tags in Edit Binding Dialog: An IDS Update allowed the Arrange Components to become available. Previously users were unable to drag tags in the edit binding dialog.

• Template Fidelity Review: Simple List Widget: UI Enhancements implemented to the Simple List Widget. Image is top aligned and changed to size. Only four fields are allowed per row. Label font sizes are updated. Margins between image-container, label-container and badge/icon are adjusted.

• Do Not Allow Duplicates Names: Validation added to disallow for duplicate widget names. Disallow the user to create or rename Drafts, Published, or Data Services and Context Messages.

• Send Context Message Upon Refresh: List and Data grid widgets selects and emit event on load. For widgets that are both sending and receiving context messages, the first record is automatically selected and the message is sent.

• Use Variables in API Calls in Wizard: Customers needed to provide inputs into APIs that can be changed, to offer more flexible interfaces. This feature allows users to defined dynamic values when invoking APIs calls.
