[Release Highlights] January 2024 – Infor OS App Designer

The following describes the new release highlights for users of Infor OS App Designer:

• Help Improvements -A new functionality for enablement of smart help has been added, as well as the addition of hover over tooltips within Data Services page. Previously, there was no smart help or tooltips defined on the Data Services page. Users were unable to get in-context help when creating data services.

• Button Styling -New functionality allows for the ability of the user to specify the button style. Users were unable to select the type of button that was on the form. There needed to be the ability to define different types of buttons whether they preform primary, secondary, or tertiary type actions. The addition of the button style attribute 3 Style to choose from: Primary, Secondary or Tertiary

• Greeting Template Updates - New functionality added to the Greeting template where now it will be automatically bound to the IFSUser data service and the Subtitle element is automatically bound to the displayName data property. Users were having to manually create a data service for the IFSUser and manually having to bind it to the current user. In order to make this process more efficient, it was decided that this should always default to an existing data service and data property. Greeting template now will be automatically bound to a data service. Subtitle element will default to the Full Name data property

• Context Improvements- New functionality now will track the Modified By and Date Modified properties on context messages. Was previously hard to track who modified a context message and when they made the change. New Modified By property on context messages. New Date Modified property on context messages. Can be viewed in the Details section of the context message page

• T2V Tag Implementation - New functionality provides support for T2V tags in local packages within OAD. Previously there was no ability to tag OAD packages in T2V. Phase 1 to implement OAD Lambda function to handle T2V tag requests. New table added to maintain the T2V package tags
