[Release Highlights] November – December – Infor OS RPA & IDP

The following describes the new release highlight for users Infor OS RPA & IDP:

2023.11

• New e-mail activity - "Read IMAP Mail Messages": A new activity "Read IMAP Mail Messages" was added into the RPA Studio to support the retrieval of email messages from the IMAP server. This activity allows to read the IMAP mail messages from a specified account. You can define the read of mails based on date, subject, and many other options. This provides efficient retrieval of email messages from an IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) server. In addition, mails are processed accurately and in accordance with predefined rules.

• Support for Pagination the Extract Data activity: Support for Pagination was added to the Layout Preview Screen in the Extract Data activity part of the Layout Based settings, allowing users to go through a multi-page document in the Preview screen and switch between pages. Also, an option to input a page number was added which would take the preview to that page.

• UI changes of the Process page in RPA Management: The Processes main page and detailed page in RPA Management was adjusted to provide a better user experience. Currently on the Processes main page, in the data grid, all the process versions are grouped under the latest published version. To see the previous versions, user needs to expand the view by clicking the plus sign next to the process name in the data grid. The process details page was redesigned for User and Admin selection by having two separate tabs one for User and the other for Admins.

• New OCR activity - Extract Table: A new OCR activity called "Extract Table" was added to OCR category in Activities catalog. The activity is able to extract either all the tables in a document or a given table based on the inputs from the user. The activity takes in the path of the document as input, the Start regex, End regex, and Page number as inputs. Where Start and End Regex denote the regular expressions between where to look for tables and "Page no" decides that on the page number input. This provides easier table extraction configuration in RPA Flow.

• UI changes to Device page in RPA Management: A few modifications were made to Devices page in RPA Management to improve the user experience. In 'Add Devices' dialog window, the 'Domain' field from the form was removed, the labels was changed from "Fully Qualified Domain Name" to "FQDN or Full Computer Name" and  from "Device Name / IP Address" to "Display Name". In 'Devices' main screen, the "Domain" column was removed , the "Device Name" column was change  to "Display Name and the "Fully Qualified Domain Name" column changed to "FQDN or Full Computer Name".

• "Update available" prompt for RPA Studio: Users are notified whenever a new version of RPA Studio is released and available. This notification is displayed once you start the application. You can choose to update the applications to a new version or close the notification. Versions older than the last three versions are not supported.

2023.12

• Shadow DOM support for Web Activities: All the Web Activities can work with elements inside a Shadow DOM. The "XPath" property of all the web activities was updated to "XPath or CSS Selector". There, user can specify either XPath or CSS Selector for a web element.
