[Release Highlights] January 2024 – Infor OS Robotic Process Automation

The following describes the new release highlights for users of Infor OS Robotic Process Automation:

• “Update available" for RPA Assistant -RPA Assistant is an on-premise component of Infor RPA ecosystem, designed to execute the processes in the attended mode. Following the release of subsequent versions of RPA, the on-premise component, RPA Assistant, remained unchanged, resulting in a misalignment between the cloud and on-premise versions. This disparity hindered users from accessing the latest features, impacting the process execution. On launching, the RPA Assistant now shows a prompt when a new version of Infor RPA Assistant is available. The user can either update the applications or close the prompt. However, it is recommended that users do not use versions older than three releases.

• Selection of authentication modes - The introduction of diverse authentication modes is essential for strengthening the security and user flexibility within our systems. It aligns with industry best practices, ensuring a robust and user-friendly authentication experience. RPA users were restricted to use only the default authentication mode that was set in Infor OS – Security Administration, lacking the flexibility to switch between different authentication modes. RPA Assistant is now enhanced with ‘Settings’ section which provides capability to select authentication modes while signing in. This configuration is OFF by default.  With ‘Turn on authentication modes’ ON, user can select any of the authentication modes available.
