[Release Highlights] April 2024 – Infor OS Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

The following describes the new release highlights for users of Infor OS Robotic Process Automation (RPA):

• Agentless Execution Mode: Agentless execution in RPA is a deployment model where automation processes can be executed without the need for a dedicated software agent installed on the on-premise device. Agentless execution mode allows to execute the processes in unattended mode, in the cloud environment. This approach enhances scalability, reduces overhead, and simplifies maintenance, making it an efficient choice for organizations seeking flexible and non-intrusive automation solutions.

• Microsoft 365 Office Activities for Mail: Microsoft 365 Office Graph Activities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) provide a seamless integration between RPA solutions and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. These activities leverage the MS Office Graph API to enable RPA bots to access and interact with various Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Outlook and more. With these activities, RPA developers can automate tasks like document management, email processing, and collaboration workflows within the familiar Microsoft 365 environment. The integration enhances the efficiency of RPA processes by tapping into the rich set of data and functionalities offered by Microsoft 365 applications. The first set of Microsoft 365 Office Graph Activities release support the integration with outlook.

• FTP Activities: As part of the System activities category, a new set of FTP activities were added in RPA Studio. It allows the automation of interaction with FTP servers to perform file-related tasks. This can include connecting to FTP servers uploading, downloading, or transferring files between local and remote systems.

• Desktop Automation Activities: Desktop automation in RPA streamlines repetitive tasks by employing software robots to mimic human interactions with a computer's desktop application. It allows the automation of the legacy systems and smooth integration between desk apps and web-based applications.

• Execution Summary Dashboard: An Execution Summary Dashboard offers an overview of automation processes metrics. It provides insights into process completion rates, failures, execution time and more. The dashboard enhances transparency, streamlining communication and enabling strategic planning for continued process optimization.

• Save As in RPA Studio: RPA Studio is an IDE environment to prototype, test and deploy the RPA processes. It is an on-premise RPA component, which is part of the RPA Installer. It connect with RPA Mastermind via API gateway which allows publishing the RPA flow to clous environment. The RPA Studio is equipped with basic IDE capabilities.
