Extend and Replace IDO - Additional Bound Property behaves as if it is Read Only

I have create a new IDO that is based an existing IDO where I have selected the Extend and Replace option.

This was done so that I could Add Properties to a Primary Collection that was used to build a form in IQM.

By using the Extend and Replace option when I built my new IDO, it allowed me to edit the base form, and access the new IDO Property that I created as part of the Primary Collection. My edit included a Multi-Line Edit Component that I bound to the Property that I added to the Primary Collection by way of Extend and Replace.

I can see that the form is now displaying data on the new Component, but it is not letting me edit the data.

I did not set the component as Read Only, nor did I set the new IDO Property as Read Only.

What could I be missing?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

By chance, did you assign a property class that has ready only set?

Until you check the IDO in you are the only person who can see it.

This grants an isolation level for in progress changes.

Thanks for your response.

It forced me to look at all of my IDO definitions, and what I found was not expected.

I reexamined my Property Classes and they were all NOT Read Only. Then I looked at my IDO definitions, and looked at the Property in question there. It was also NOT read only, but on the Property Overrides, under the Formatting section, Read Only had an asterisk before it. Although the box was unchecked, I checked it, then unchecked it back and saved it.

My form works as expected now.

I can't even imagine what may have been going on.

If you have (or anyone else has) an explanation or even a guess that describes what could have happened, it would be interesting to hear.

Hold on...

It's not quite working yet. I am able to edit the Multiline edit component, but my saves are not getting recorded.

Plus, I am getting an "Invalid Property Name" error when I log on as someone else (I believe that I was careful when selecting "Site" as the Developer Impersonation level).

I'm still troubleshooting...

I got past the last hurdle, now my form's Multi-Line Edit component is allowing showing old data and allowing edits, but when I click "Save", it does not save the edits. I went back and double checked, and my Property Class is NOT set to Read Only, my IDO Property is NOT set to Read Only, but it is rejecting my edits.

Still Troubleshooting...

I'll post the solution if I can figure it out, but if anyone else knows the solution, please let me know.
