Is there any way to run the SQL query for MeC/IEC database and fetch data in ION?

Hi All,

I'm looking for way out to get the MeC/IEC data from it's SQL database and bring that data in ION to either build Notification or drive work flow or for widgets.

I have SQL queries which are giving me desired results but I'm not getting on how to fetch that in ION.

Is it possible to run such SQL queries in ION?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Mithun - You can create a Connection Point to a SQL database and run a procedure to capture data. Typically, you will want to transform the data into a BOD (xml file) and send it to a document flow for any of the steps you mentioned, except Widget. The widget would take more work to expose sql and access the data. I created a custom website to expose SQL through APIs, then called the APIs from the Widget.

I used the below website as guidance, to connect a .NET project to my SQL database. I deployed the project, as a website, to IIS and then added that website to ION API. It has full swagger doc, so you can test. It does take quite a bit of work if you want to do anything besides the GET calls.

As Brandon mentioned, this is fairly straight forward suing SQL Stored Procedures. It is documented int eh guide and has a sample. This can be used to create new, enrich existing XML, as well as update SQL tables. ION supports SQL server and other databases.

I have a sample of more current techniques if needed.
