Unable to receive the Sync.PurchaseOrder into ION from LN system on creation of Purchase Order in LN

Hi Team,

Good Day .

I have defined a document flow and workflow in ION for a purchase order in LN system. I have planned to trigger a approval flow in Mingle, once we created the purchase order in the LN system. But it is not happening.

I have verified in LN, common-> BOD Messaging -> Publish BODs -> Publish Order Management Transaction Data for Purchase Order status options. In that i dont see Created option to publish.

Can any one suggest me, how to proceed in this scenario.

Hi Satish,

In LN a purchase order has to be approved before it can be published. As soon as the order is completed it should be approved in LN which means that entry is done and the documents can be send to the supplier.

On top there are predefined workflows in ION for LN. Using this workflows will activate check-out/check-in functionality.

For the Purchase orders it is workflow LN_DA_Purchase order. To set this up you have to follow roughly next steps. First in LN the Object Configuration Management (Tools/Integrations/Object Configuration Management) has to be configured. Select per package combination which workflows you want to be triggered. Then activate the proper LN_DA-workflow in ION. As soon as a workflow is activated a subscription is created in LN.

When the order is approved the approval workflow is triggered.

If you don't see the Created option it is most probably because in BOD parameters session you have the option Prevent BOD Publishing checked. Uncheck it (if accounting entity in the same session is approved) and restart the Publish Order Management Transaction data session.

I did as you suggested.

1). I had a doubt here. For that LN_DA_PurchaseOrder document flow there is no action policy, then how it will trigger if we activate in ION.

2). How to map WF_Reason, WF_Result out parameters with the PurchaseOrder bod fields. As we dont have it in the PurchaseOrder bod.

Hi Satish,

1) LN triggers the workflow (by sending a process.workflow BOD said by heart). So no activation policy is in place.

2) The approval result is automatically returned and the order is either approved or denied. So you don't need a data flow for this.

NB: LN handles workflows differently from other Infor applications. ION is initially developed by the LN team.

we missed the below point.
2). How to map WF_Reason, WF_Result out parameters with the PurchaseOrder bod fields. As we dont have it in the PurchaseOrder bod.

Scenario:

i defined the workflow in a document flow hence it was asking attributes and parameter mapping instead of going with Activation policies.

kindly suggest me the best way to do this.
