Anyone tried using external forms on Workflow tasks?

Hi all, 

 

Did any of You use external forms in ION workflows?

I miss dropdown lists that would allow users to select some values during task execution and field referencing (eg.: if I select Department A, then employee list gets updated with only A Dept employees). 

I can achieve 1st thing by using Code List, but it's not dynamic list  

 

Does any of You know good demos of AppBuilder? I browsed Campus, Sales Portal and YT but found very few.

I'm not sure if this is the case, but we built a leave application workflow using external forms.
