File Template Creation with Multiple Groups of Fixed Length File

Hi,

I am trying to create a Fixed Length file with following groups of data.

1. Header

2. a. Payment Record

2. b. Originating Party Details

2. c. Receiving Party Details

2. d. Supplementary Check Details

2. e. Invoice Details

3. Trailer

Point 2 is repetitive depending on the payment lines. In each of point 2, there are 15-20 fields.

How to achieve this in ION Connect --> File Template.

Hello,

Not possible today. I think Infor is working on it.

I suppose you create a (custom) BOD with multiple XML records in it (header, 2a, 2b..., trailer); workaround is to use XSLT to build your own delimited record and define your file template as a unique "generic" record.

Hi Maxime! I've the same problem, but I've already defined an xslt mappint to generate an XML like this:

<txt>

<record>AAA</record>

<record>BBB</record>

</txt>

I defined my document as "txt" and just a field with "record" name.

The delimiter is ";"

I've also tried with a fixed lenght, but everytime is just printing me out a txt with just 'BBB' and not "AAA" and "BBB".

Can you please help me ?

Don't mind.. I solved.

It's necessary to create xml as

<txt><record>AAA</record></txt>

<txt><record>BBB</record></txt>

and set document as "txt".
