Populating a BOD with data from workflow output parameters

Hi everyone, does anyone know if it’s possible to populate a BOD with data from a workflow output parameter?  I'm calling a workflow from a Document Flow and would like to populate some data to the BOD that I'm using in the Document Flow.  In this case, the workflow would find the Customer No using an ION API. Once the customer is found I would like to populate the Customer No. on the Sales Order BOD.

Hello,

Absolutely. You need to :
- use activation policies to trigger your workflow based on document Sync.YourNoun; set attributes customerID + customerName and map these to the workflow input parameters
- set customer ID + customerName (blank in your case) as input parameters in your workflow. customerName is also set as output parameter.
- call your ION API in the workflow, update parameter customerName

ION should send back a Process.YourNoun because it has detected one output parameter has changed.
