Framework server-side URL change with IPA

I found in the Infor Lawson FrameworkServices Administrator and UserGuide documentation that updates to the server side URL is possible with this  << EFSServer>>/update?id=<<id of module or link>>&<<name of property>>=<<value of property >>&<<name of property>>=<<value of property>>&...

but i am unable to understand how the works.  is it a javascript command put into a node in the IPA?

if anyone has that code or IPA to share it would be very helpful.
