Homepages, banner widgets, and graphs in multi-tenant cloud

We are a new infor shop going through a mulit-tenant cloud implementation and I have been tasked to do some work with homepages.

I tried to build an information viewer graph using a function I built for CMS100MI, but there seem to be very limited options on the graphing.

What are my options in the cloud environment to produce a homepage like those in the links?

I'm quite lost, so pointing me to an SDK doesn't really mean anything, I don't even know what language I should be using to do the development in.

Any advice would be very helpful.

Recently Infor changed their answer to custom unsigned widgets. You can enable unsigned tenant widgets, you need to open a support case for infor OS with the follow message to have the flag turned on.

Support case text example..

Please enable the unsigned widgets flag for the following InforOS tenants

(List of URLs)

The support team will ask the cloud team to enable the flag so you can import your own widgets, note it's use at your own risk.. Support is not going to help you diagnose issues in your Typescript code. The SDK has a guide on how to build and compile the widgets. It's a great tool to expand your homepages if you are a TypeScript expert.

As an another suggestion you can also can develop in Mongoose (visual basic or C) the homepage widget for mongoose allows forms to open inside it and Mongoose can call APIs and build graphs, pop out to another forms, context aware, etc. Some of the Mongoose features here are v3 of the widget. -- Mongoose is "cloud safe", if you build it in Mongoose its considered safe for the InforOS CE.

I agree that building homepage widgets in Mongoose it the best option as it really enhances the Infor User Experience. The problem I seem to find is finding experienced Mongoose developers who have built slick widgets and homepages.

As the Product Director for Homepages I am sorry to hear that you don't dedicate any time to the solution but I appreciate your feedback.

I agree with you that application dashboards are beneficial but they can be limiting. A key differentiator for Homepages is the ability to overcome this limitation and display data from multiple sources so that users have everything they need at their fingertips to quickly make informed decisions. For example, using pre-built widgets I could quickly create a single Homepage to display my daily tasks, key ERP data, Birst analytics, 3rd party information, and links to important documents - all without any coding. And, with our Dynamic Homepages capabilities, an Administrator can even vary the content that a user sees based on any IFS or custom parameter you define, including site/location.

I'm not sure the last time you reviewed Homepages but I would encourage you to take another look - especially at the pre-built pages that have been delivered for CSI. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.
