Custom Load Method - cannot view rpt_generalLedgertransactionSp

Hello,

I have been asked to make a new dataview based on the General Ledger Transaction Report (has a dataview option). It uses the IDO method which I mentioned above. In the past (recent I am new to Infor), I have been able to use the form Edit Stored Procedure to view these methods. I cannot open this one using that form. Is there another way to open this Procedure? I also know it uses an IDO extension class assembly which I also cannot view. Is there any way to modify this dataview? I am on the cloud version of CSI 10.0.0.42.

On the Edit Stored Procedure form, put in the name of the stored procedure > check the "Remove to Extgen" box and then click the Copy Procedure button. Does this not work? I am CSI 9.01 so maybe this has changed in 10.

Hi J, That is the procedure I have used to view the other standard procedures but I do not have the option to view this particular procedure.

Last time I looked the list of what could be converted was controlled by the table ExtendableStoredProcedures. At that point Rpt_GeneralLedgerTransactionSp was contained in the table. If you build an IDO over it (if there isn't one as standard), you can check the contents in a Dataview.

However it may not be there for long. That SP is scheduled for conversion to C# in the December release.

Please see KB 2146483. In particular, please review the PDF slide-deck which explains how the conversion will be organised and notice that the C# replacement will look for EXTGEN SPs just as the standard SQL SPs did. Existing EXTGENs will continue to work until any objects they themselves are dependent upon are also converted to C#.

Hi ReesH,

I have edited a couple of stored procedures, I just can't find this one using the Edit Stored Procedures. In this particular case, I only wanted to view the code not edit it. i will reread KB2146483.
