Customized BOD through DF for LN

Hi,

I have a customized BOD and doing some changes to it in ION. Just wanted to understand if the same BOD is in LN as well and should we do the same changes in LN BOD and publish the BOD there to have the changes working?

Currently, the changes that I have done in ION to pull the info from LN is not working.

Can anyone please advise?

Hi Narendra,

Infor’s custom BOD development guideline is to use “My” as a prefix to avoid such conflicts. Since it is a custom BOD you can rename it.

The BOD that is used is Sync.Expenseinvoice, where should i use the prefix here and how about changes in the BOD content in LN and Publishing?

If this is not standard BOD in LN, you need BOD implementation (which is already present for all standard BODs). You should use LN Studio for BOD development, starting with Business Interface Definition (BID) and then finishing with Business Interface Implementation (BII- which actually links BOD to a table/tables in LN). Sending BII to LN results in private and public library for processing incoming/outgoing BOD. For publishing of the BOD you should also call a publish.bod function on some event that happens on the table (for example on DAL's after.save event).

If there is a standard BOD then you can extend it through extensibility. Most of the requirements can be achieved through extensions. Please refer to Infor LN Extensions Development Guide.
