How to send XML file to a non-Infor apps from M3 multi tenant

Hello,

We have a new custom MEC interface requested to be triggered from MNS260 and collects some data from M3 and generate output xml and send it to SFTP folder.

What is the required steps to achieve this requirement? as far as I know the steps from M3 to MEC are as below:

1- Create MNS260 record.

2- Create the MBM configurations in CRS945/CRS949 using the MBMEVENT.

3- Subscription in MEC will be M3:MBMInitiator:Q

4- Create a new agreement with detection matched with the generated file in MEC it may be a custom detection for the EventData as I see the standard detection that already exist is for MvxEnvlope

this is for the part from M3 to MEC. the question is, Can we do the above steps in multi tenant and if not what is the alternative way

Question 2: what is the steps to connect MEC with ION to be able to transfer this XML from MEC to the third-party's SFTP folder?

Hi,

1) To trigger your interface, you need to setup a custom rule in EventAnalytics. I strongly suggest to take a look at this rule which uses a classic printer as trigger : it's working the same way

MBMInitiator_REQUEST_CreditTransfer

You subscribe to MBMIntitiator:Q

... declare your fields meta data

... filter on your document (the one you have defined in MNS260)

... and publish new event M3BEBOD as everything must go through M3BODProcessor

2) As for sending the file, choose a file connection point (from EC) in ION Desk and select sFTP... unless your 3rd apps is already in the cloud

3) Be sure to use the proper java routines in your mapping as some of them have changed from on-prem

Sorry as this is the first time in cloud I just wanted some clarification on the below points.

regarding your point 1) : I think I was able to trigger this and receive the xml containing the EventData tags without a custom rule in EventAnalytics. Is this also okay? as i can create new detection for this EventData file and detect with a unique value defined in MNS260.

simply i configured MNS260/VRS945/CRS949 and added the subscription in MEC as M3:MBMInitiator:Q and was able to receive the msg. is this okay

Regarding your comment in point number 2) do you mean MEC will generate the XML output file to a shared folder on MEC central folder using a normal send channel using the Disk protocol and we will configure ION to get the file from this folder and write it to external SFTP folder? or we will have a send channel after the XML transform step in the agreement and this send channel will use the IONDBOUT protocol?

You don't need ION for that.

With MEC You can send the file to anywhere.

If M3 is in MT cloud, then ION/ ION API gateway are the official channel to reach out to the external world.
