Update IDM Documents via JSON API

Hi all,

i have created a DataFlow to add Files to IDM.
Some Files are updated after some days.

Problem is, that for each IDM API Call, a new document is created.
Is there any option to update the document if the filename is already existing in this DocumentType?

Hello Tobias, what IDM API call are you using? My assumption is the 'Add an Item' call. I have not seen version control with this API. I believe, if you want different versions, you would have to search for the Item and find the pid, then run the 'Update an Item' API call to change the document versioning. Good luck!
