Connect IEC with ION to send file to local folder

Hello,

I've done the configuration in MNS260 and setup the MBM/Rule/BOD Processor and received the message on MEC.

My custom mapping output is a simple xml file.

How to connect IEC with ION to transfer this file from IEC to a local folder just for testing.

I know that there should be two connection points. one from IEC to ION and the second is from ION to the folder.

is there any reference on how to do this test. and what should be the type of the connection point from IEC to ION?

Is it possible to transfer the file from ION to a local folder for testing(this may be replaced with sFTP).

Hi,

Location will be the "Enterprise location" Which needs to be created in ion desk.With host (Ip address of your computer). When this is created you will see it in the connection point while creating file connection point.

User id and password will be your computer (Windows profile) user id and password.

In our case we have a different windows server and user id and password we have been given by our customer to access that windows (RDC) server.

Hi,

Yes that is very much possible. We have done that recently transfer the BOD to a folder on a windows server than a ftp folder.

As you said above two connections points required M3<->ION and ION,<-> File connector (Folder).

And a document flow which would include the document (BOD) passing through this connection points.

Below screenshot you can try. Use Shared folder with your computer ip address, username and password. Port number not required

Then specify the path for that documnet
