Service account user

If I am using the service account user in an ION API workflow, and i will for example run an API for PO approval which takes the PO number and the signature only and it checks the current logged in user on the system and based on this it executes correctly or not .. Does this mean when i run the API from ION API Workflow it will consider this service account user as the user who is currently logged-in (Running the API on M3 now) or not ?

Hi Max,

On OP version you can use impersonnation thru query or matrix parameter m3user.

In CE version it's impossible.

The purpose of impersonation is to extend the access of a service to resources that might be off-limits. It does this by taking the rights of the requester into consideration. Impersonation enables the service to assume the security context of the requester when it must determine whether access to a particular resource is to be allowed.

On OP version you can use impersonation on m3 apis if impersonation is turned on (see KB 2159966) by using matrix parameter m3user (see m3api-rest wadl)

But unfortunately it seems that we can't use matrix paramaters with workflow ionapi connector.
