Create new Hierarchy in Import Master

Hi.

I am new to Infor Bi. And I am creating in Import Master a new dimension for my project, which contains the geographical structure of the company on three levels. The dimension has three attributes (Country, state, city).

But when I create the dimension, it creates a hierarchy with two levels, one for the total, and another for the country.

How can I edit the hierarchy to show me all levels.

Hi,

Do you use mapping to fill dimension with elements or did you create them all in import master directly in [Your dimension] > Hierarchies > [Your hierarchy] > Elements? Even if you define 3 levels of hierarchy, if there are no elements on lowest levels, it wont be created.

I fill the dimension with a script directly from Import Master. And I fill the hierarchy with only two levels total, and country.

David, ImportMaster gives you ability to create 'Parent-Child' mappings, i.e. one step affects only 2 levels or 'Level-based' mappings, when one step can create as many levels as needed. Which one do you use?

If you need help with adjusting your script, please post it here, as there are too many ways to do this. As Nick said, mapping using Parent Child is easiest way of creating multi level hierarchies, consider using it instead.
