Version Control - Integrate ImportMaster Scripts and AppStudio Reports in Git

Hello all,

I'm curious to learn, if any of you is using a central version control like Git.

We would like to also include the ImportMaster scripts we are developing and the AppStudio report changes in a single Git repo.

Is there any chance to do this currently beside commiting binary files? Any Best Practices you can share?

@Product Management. Do you have plans to support an integration with Git or similar with v12 or is your focus on a proprietary solution?

Hi Daniel,

we use Git (in our case a company-hosted GitLab) for various use-cases (especially in the MS DB area). For Infor currently the version control in v11 is used with all it's pros/cons. A Git Integration would definitely be helpful for AppStudio and could replace the  proprietary solution.

So I would absolutely appreciate a possibility to use Git as version control. Nevertheless while this works well for reports I'm not sure how it could work for other objects, which should also be version controlled (e.g. global variables, lists ...).
