Hi,
not sure if this was already discussed, my search found nothing and I'm 99% sure, there is no solution, but the 1% left is worth trying it :-)
Is there any (dirty) way to get the drilldown level of a hyperblock changed dynamically in Version 11? (see attached document)
The user wants to have a button to expand/collapse the whole list level by level instead of clicking the + for all elements manually.
Instead of the “5” I’d like to provide a link to a report variable which is in-/decreased by one when clicking a button.
I know, the DD-level can be changed using a report-script but because of these are unsupported in V12 this is a no-go!.
It’s not a matter of the list definition itself. I have tested with custom MDX to change the structure level dynamically and it works, but when the list definition only contains e.g. level 2 there is no way to drill down to level 3 for one element by clicking the + in the hyperblock
Right now I’m using two hyperblocks with the same list definition, one with DD-Level 2 and one with DD-Level 5. By clicking a button a variable is toggled that hides either the one or the other row the hyperblocks are located in.
It is a workaround, but not what the user expects.
Yes, Version 12 has this wonderful feature, I know, but there is some time to go before a migration from the current application is possible, so I appreciate any tipps and tricks for version 11.
Thanks,
Ralf
