Can ION read or write xlsx files?

HI Team,

We have a customer who can only generate and read XLSX files. They are very strict on the extension for seom reason. They wont accept CSV it seems. Can ION read or write XSLX ?

I am aware of the Python Scripting option, but just curious if ION in the latest versions came up supporting xls/xlsx formats.

ION currently do not have an option to read files other than csv/txt. Files have to converted externally before read by ION.

ION can read any file as input, the question is about what the file content is formatted as in that file. If it is Excel but formatted as csv data, then that can be mapped to a BOD.

If it is a Excel formatted, there are python libraries we have used to format as other XML, JSON, CSV Data formats. Inversely, a data file can be mapped to a Excel format via python.

Kirill - You can install Libraries from Scripting in ION Desk. Download the whl for Python 3.7 (Infor is updating Python to 3.9 in the April Release!). Below is the PyPI url for Pandas, but you have to go to previous versions for 3.7 whl. Version 1.3.5, of Pandas, contains the proper whl. Below is the direct link to the download, as a hyperlink, with the text of the actual file being downloaded.
