How to handle Chinese or Special characters in Excel Bulk Uploads

We are on Multi-Tenant and using Excel Bulk Uploads for feeding mass data such as Add Items, Add Blanket Agreement line items, Add Suppliers, etc

But currently we are unable to use this when there is any data values that contains special characters or Chinese characters in it

I believe this is something to do with encoding and below is the error that throw when its validate/encode within the Jason/VB scripts.

Appreciate if anyone who can shed some lights on this. Thank you!

That error is related to you JSON. Your record(s) need to start and end with Brackets.

i.e.
{
"Field1": "Value1",
"Field2": "Value2",
"Field3": "Value3",
}

Thank you very much for your reply.

Actually, Request URL sent out from excel is nicely enclosed with Brackets. But in the content, there are some control characters due to Chinese character values in the input. So that response from the API sent the value as “Bad Request” and that lead to the error based on the coded logic.

Debug mode in Excel show correct Chinese character value

But Requst URL content control characters as below

"https://mingle-ionapi.eu1.inforcloudsuite.com/VALLENASIA_TST/M3/m3api-rest/execute/MMS200MI/AddItmViaItmTyp?CONO=8&ITTY=NP2&ITDS=MIL&WAUKEE_04524228-41-0510&FUDS=ÓÃÇ°Æ¤´øÂÖ°²È«×°ÖÃ FRONT PULLEY GUARD MACH"

Coded logic in the excel and Response value reflect as “Bad Request”

So that I believe, this is something to do with the encoding and I could not find the right encoding that can produce the correct Chinese character values in the URL.

I am still looking for a solution for this, let me know if you can think of any tips. Thank you!

M3 is using UTF-8 encoding for everything, so if you are not doing so already, make sure that is the one used.
