Change Email Attachment Name on Order Verification Report

I am wanting to email orders to Customers as a pdf attachment. Is it possible to change the Email Subject description to contain the order number and also rename the attachment as OrderXXXXXX.pdf

Using the default the email subject is the Background Task Description and the attachment is the number of the background task id

Let me take a stab, maybe something like this is what you need?

1) Create an event in TaskPostPerform and call an IDO Method (Custom Assembly)

in this example I passed the TaskReportOutputPath and TaskProcessId

2) Custom Assembly code for "AES_RENAME_AND_SEND_REPORT_TO_EMAIL" method.

-inside this custom assembly rename the file based on the TaskReportOutputPath, ive replace "DALS" to "REPLACEDINCUSTOMASSEMBLY_".

-Update the reportoutputpath in bgtask based on processid... Please use the built in ido commands instead of appdb.. the system needs the updated reportouputpath when autoview is set to true in reportoptions

-Call an AES Event to send an email and pass the relevevant fields like document name path etc.

3) Create a new event named AES_SEND_EMAIL. parameters like E(FileNameVar) will catch the values coming from custom assembly. (in my case Ive set the pdf name to "newattachmentname" and also set other values like subject email body etc)

4) below is the sample email I received from Syteline.

Note: maybe you can skip the renaming inside the custom assembly or updating bgtask and go straight to calling the AES event.

below are example values you can pass to the IDO from AES.
