How to handle international number formats in Webservices?

Hello together,

we have a report which was designed using the comma number format (. as decimal separators, , as thousands separator). Now our American colleagues want to see the report in their number format (, as decimal separators, . as thousands separator), are there any options to do so.

Especially we face the issue with reports which also allow data entry. They can download the report to Excel, here the number conversion works well, but as soon as they copy figures from Excel (using . as decimal separators), the figures get messed up since the Web Front End (both Edge + Chrome) uses the comma format. In application studio conversion works well.

Any ideas how to get the users selected number format also in the web?

are you talking about Version 11?

There is a setting in repository to use the regional settings of the client in Webservices:

However, haven't tested it, as I'm only using german settings ...

Hi Ralf,
thanks for the hint. this was activated at our side. Finally we found it was connected to chrome setting. Chrome doesn't necessarily use the Windows setting, but derives it from the language of chrome, since this was German, it used a different format than Excel (which basically relies on Windows Settings, which were US).
