Displaying attrbute based on language settings for drop-downs

Hi all,

We are using version 11 of Infor PM / d/EPM. As our installation is quite old, we are still using the "native" alias for most purposes.

I am trying to migrate one of our reports from a "native" alias to a "XMLA" alias. This works fine except for one issue. I am not able to display the attributes in dropdows according to the language settings. In the native alias, there is an option in the client list designer that allows me to select the attribute based on a (global) variable.

Is there any solution for this with the XMLA alias?

Hi Malte,

Glad you are moving away from Native driver. Select the cell you want your attribute to go in and then select formula wizard. The select attribute from the formula type box. Follow the promts as below and you get to select the variable control for your language attaributes.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have been able to put the attributes in all of the formulas.

But what I try to do here is, to put them in a drop-down. And there doesn't seem to be an option to display the attribute based on a variable.

Hello Malte!

According to your screenshot you use a local olap list. So you have to define the attributes in the list designer of the dimension you use.

In the list designer in section "attributes" you can add attributes with the according icon.

There you get a dialog where you can select e.g. global variables.

Just select the one you use for definining the language and it should work.

Thanks for your reply.

In my environment, I had to use "ATT2_" as a prefix of the language variable. It did not work with the language only. I guess, this has to do with the use of more than one attribute table.
