Updating custom fields on Employee from Workassignment forms

We have defined a custom form on Employee business class and are trying to update it from customized Promotion form on WorkAssignment business class.

It is not visible or updating now. Funny thing is that employee standard fields that we added additionally on WorkAssignment screen continue to get updated.

Any pointers on why tis might happen.

Since the custom Promotion form is on WorkAssignment Business class, you will be able to update any User fields that are on WorkAssignment business class. At the end of the Action Request, try performing an Update action on the Employee record to populate the User fields with values.

We were able to do this before without doing an Update action.

Funny thing is that I am still able to update standard fields in Employee business class without making any Update action changes.

Can I make it such that if only the Promotion Action request is approved by final approver can it be updated if I use an update action? I do not want the flow to update if the action request is rejected

Inorder to populate the User fields on the Employee business class, you will need to create the User fields on the Employee too with same name and type.

For example: I have created a User field TESTINFR on WorkAssignment BC and also added it on the Promote Action form. I have created the same field on Employee BC as well with same name TESTINFR and type. Now the User field exist on both Employee and WorkAssignment with same name and type. When a Promote action is taken on the WorkAssignment and the user populates TESTINFR user field with value, once the Action request is approved, the user fields on both WorkAssignment and Employee business classes will be populated with values. I confirmed Vikram solution, but now I have a related question. How do I make sure both fields are always in sync? In other words, after the action has been approved if they decide to change the value directly on the form (Work Assignment business class), how would I make sure the value also gets updated on the Employee business class user field?
