How to Import non-WHL files to Python Library???

Hello Community and Keith Knuth,

Does anyone know how to import a python library that is not in the *.whl format?
I am trying to load two libraries, dicttoxml and xmltojson. But they are both in the *.tar.gz format.
@Keith, I watched all three of your scripting YT videos. Very informative.

Scripting only supports Python wheels. You can find more details in the Infor ION Desk User Guide under ION Scripting > Supported Libraries

Looks like you're looking for an example on converting XML over to JSON. Attached a script you can import into your Infor OS environment so you can test with some sample XML files. Good luck

You'll need to rename the extension and drop the .txt. Unfortunately, the forums don't allow uploading .json extensions.

Thank you Mike.

It worked great. The only thing I need to do is to remove the namespace prior to the conversion to json and then add it back afterwards when switching back to xml. Otherwise, the namespace will repeat down for each node in json.
