Filter Expression Exclusion in a Client List

Hello!

I want to exclude an element in a client list. I try in client list designer with "!~^DIVIDENDO A CUENTA" (I want to exclude account with the spanish name "DIVIDENDO A CUENTA").

I´m using Text Filter in "ATT2_Spanish" in a client list with another text filters in "ATT1_Detail" which contains 2 reportvariables, how can I exclude the account "DIVIDENDO A CUENTA"? Thanks alot and best regards.

I would also be interested in learning how to do this. I am a trying to exclude certain elements of dimension 3 in a formula. Any thoughts?

This may seem like a silly question, but what do you mean by a "client list"? I know Server Lists, Formula Lists, Variable List, Custom Lists but not sure im familiar with Client Lists. Screenshot or two might help if possilbe.

I am not certain what a client list is, and perhaps I misunderstood what Luis was asking. What I am trying to accomplish is to exclude a list of elements in a formula. For example, return my Master Operations (dimension 4) level, except operation 1, 2, 3, & 5.

The method I am using now is pretty clunky. I'm using a report variable, multi-selecting the values I want to exclude and then creating a CELLGET formula of those values and subtracting it from the CELLGET formula at the master level. I'm sure there is a better way to accomplish this, but I'm not familiar with how to exclude certain values in a formula.

it looks like youre using a Slice so in that case id do an MDX statement in your Master Ops dim list select like:

="EXCEPT("&ReportObjects.SelectedMembers.Text & ","& ReportVariables.ExclusionList.Text&")"

I dont vouch for that syntax so you may want to double check it and obviously I made up those two references but basically use the EXCEPT MDX function.
