Infor Data Lake webinar series | Part 2: Getting data out of the Data Lake
July 14 | 12:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Infor® OS is the hub for your entire enterprise ecosystem; it serves as a fully cloud-based operating platform that seamlessly connects services to provide a robust technology framework. The Infor Data Lake is just one of the standard services included with an Infor multi-tenant cloud platform. The Data Lake allows you to capture data across the environmental landscape, solve industry challenges with big data storage, and provide easy access to historical data.
In part two of this webinar series, our experts will discuss key areas and address questions about the Data Lake and data extraction. Attendees will learn how to:
- Get your data moving. Pushing data from the Data Lake with an ION push flow allows you to use additional controls in the Data Lake flows. Jill Papendick will examine some real-life examples of pushing your data from the Data Lake with flows.
- Retrieve your data through APIs. The ION API Gateway allows you to establish a connection through the Data Lake API services, Kevin Heiman will review an example of pulling data from the Data Lake through the APIs to send on to other applications.
- Extract data through Compass service APIs. The ION API Gateway allows you to establish a connection through the Data Lake API services, Jill Papendick will review an example of pulling data from the Data Lake through the APIs to send on to other applications.
- Query the Data Lake through a local SQL query tool. Using the Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver in conjunction with third party tools like DBeaver, Squirrel, or SQL Workbench you can also extract data with Infor Compass. Jessica Melger will walk through examples of setting up this type of configuration.
