Issue with multiple connections in Dbeaver

We are a dbeaver enterprise customer which to our Infor datalake environments.

What we’re finding is that we are unable to connect to multiple environments at once. Basically, we have to close dbeaver and re-open each time we want to connect to a different environment (for example switching connection from TST to PRD).

I opened a ticket with Dbeaver support on this issue, but they indicated it is an issue with the JDBC driver on the Infor side:

"Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution for this problem. Driver itself seems to be non-JDBC-compliant. It doesn't allow DBeaver to load two instances of the driver in memory. It probably can be solved by the driver vendor."

Has anyone else ran into this issue and is there a workaround for this that I’m just missing?

For Dbeaver we typically define many connections in nested folders (Image1) to organize. We then switch on the fly using Set Active Connection (image 2)

We reviewed with Dbeaver development as well and came to no conclusion. We have other client apps that support concurrency with the driver. Suggest you open an incident to progress with our support/ development processes

I am having the same problem.

It looks like when DBeaver connects to first environment, it copies jdbc driver to it's cache folder and trying to use it for the second connection.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

the only way i have gotten it to work is to have separate workspaces and switch back and forth as needed.

Is this something particular to the dbeaver enterprise version? I use Community and run multiple concurrent from one workspace as noted above.

this is me probably one version higher than you. Maybe i am just not understanding how you are doing the folder thing like you were trying to explain. I tried to create a folder with 3 different connections in there...and i saw the setting you were talking about the active connection but it was an exercise in futility switching back/forth as it would give differing errors depending on what i tried.

In any case.....for my purposes...i'm totally good w/ just having to switch workspaces.

just wanted to pass along a document i created to serve that purpose for me.

if there are better ways...that suit others....i look forward to seeing them in future posts here
