How to call M3 rest api changing company

Hi all,

I tried to find a discussion to help me but without success.

I would like to know how to call M3 rest apis specifying the company, as like when we do mforms://cmp... in smartoffice.

For example, we've a specific service account under a specific company without a division and we would change the company for it before calling the rest api.

In fact, if we call the api CUSEXTMI/AddFieldValue it hasn't in input the cono and it creates by default the record using the cono of the user... then we would dinamically set the cono (for which the user is enabled in MNS151 obviously) before call the rest api.

We've tried to add a new key in the header --> "company":103 and it didn't work.

This has always been a problem with the API's, the only way I have found to do this is to setup 'Company Specific' interface Users to ensure that I am hitting the correct Environment.

This probably would make a great Enhancement Request.

In fact I supposed to create specific service accounts users for each company but is not so beautiful...

In IEC is possible to change it dinamically inside the mapping during the process...

I'll try to open an incident on the infor portal asking for this enhancement.

Hi Gioacchino,

It is possible to change the company, the header/query parameter you are looking for is "cono" for company, "divi" for Division. The other useful parameters are "maxrecs" to set the maximum number of records to retrive, "m3user" to execute the API impersonating the user's security roles.

For example, "/m3api-rest/execute/CUSEXTMI/LstFieldValue;maxrecs=100;excludempty=false;cono=100;divi=D10;m3user=APPSVC?FILE=MITMAS00&PK01=..."

At this point I've to understand how to pass the cono dinamically in C# also in the request URL, between the resource path and QUERY parameters...
