REST API

Good morning,

I have an oncoming challenge to retrieve data from an HR application (DATEV), that only provides the REST-API. No other connections, exports or direct database access is allowed/possible.

To be well prepared for that, I'm looking for ways to get that done, so that I can transfer data ino the relational stage and finally from the stage into OLAP cubes.

Is there a way to access this REST-API using Importmaster or APE?

Any experiences on this topic? Myself, unfortunately, I've never worked with REST before...

Raif, Version 12 of Import Master supports Rest API but that means you have to go via on-premise and then back to the Cloud. I believe that AEP also supports the calling of Rest API. If you are talking about MT Cloud, then you will need to become familiar with ION Desk which has the Enterprise Connector tool. This will allow direct access using Rest-API and should allow you to connect directly to the application and pull the data into the datalake, where you can use SQL to pull the data into the Staging. There need s to be more clarity and experience shared on this subject as the data flow process into the MT cloud has quite a few more steps than previously required. If you are staying with on-premise V12, then watch out for the Rest-API 's in Import Master. If I am incorrect or incomplete in any of the above statements, hopefully someone from Infor will correct me.
